Analysis and Design of a Collaboration Opportunity Characterization Tool for Virtual Organization Creation-Edición Única

Abstract

The e-business evolution has resulted in the emergence of dynamic e-business involving the rapid creation of teams of business partners to pursue specific business opportunities. These teams must aggregate the resources and competences of each one of their members creating a virtual enterprise with increased capabilities. This document presents the conceptual foundations relevant to the proper design and implementation of a software tool to support the business partner selection process for a specific business opportunity. The tool provides functionality for decomposing a business opportunity into items, which can be individually mapped to the specific competences for achieving the business goal, once the competences required are specified, these can be used to select the business partner candidates.
