Abstract
This work presents the modeling by average model and simulation of a integrated onboard charger (iOBC) in electric vehicles (EVs). The primary objective was to develop an average model of the iOBC, then confirm by simulation in MATLAB/Simulink and Simscape. The simulations make significant insights to design and evaluate the control strategy and the interaction between controllers and physical components. The simulations revealed that the iOBC operates correctly under different conditions: for a 400V 48Ah battery pack with a 220V 60Hz power supply and for a 60V 105Ah battery pack with a 120V 60Hz supply. Which, the methodology test evaluate with the same controller gain values, demonstrating the robustness of the control strategy. The results validation of the average model developed is a key tool for assessing iOBC controllers by real operating conditions, contributing significantly to the foundation iOBCs for EVs.
