    Validity and reliability of a survey to know the technological acceptance of an institutional repository: The case of resources on energy and sustainability

    El propósito de esta ponencia es presentar la validez y confiablidad de una encuesta diseñada para conocer la aceptación tecnológica del Repositorio Institucional RITEC del Tecnológico de Monterrey. La pregunta de investigación por responder es: ¿cómo influye la experiencia de usuario en el éxito o fracaso de la aceptación de un Repositorio Institucional?. La encuesta consta de cuatro dimensiones basadas en el Modelo de Aceptación Tecnológica (TAM): utilidad percibida (PU), facilidad de uso percibida (EU), actitudes hacia el uso (ATU) e intención de uso (BIU). La encuesta piloto fue aplicada a 47 estudiantes matriculados en el curso virtual  “Visibilidad del conocimiento abierto a través del RITEC”. Los resultados obtenidos del análisis de confiabilidad, usando el índice Alfa de Cronbach, permiten señalar la alta consistencia interna de la encuesta. La validez de la encuesta se centra en la validez de contenido, valorada por un conjunto de expertos.

    Identidad digital 2.0: Posibilidades de la gestión y visibilidad científica a través de repositorios institucionales de acceso abierto.

    Las plataformas tecnológicas utilizadas a favor de vías de comunicación científica presentan un cambio con la llegada de nuevas aplicaciones que tienen funcionalidades que hacen más satisfactorio llevar a cabo distintas tareas a través de sus interfaces. Los repositorios institucionales requieren una nueva visión que integre los aspectos que conlleva la visibilidad científica y nuevas funcionalidades tecnológicas, por lo que es necesario conocer las necesidades de sus usuarios para agilizar la difusión de su producción científica. La metodología utilizada para el presente estudio ha sido cualitativa, a través de tres grupos focales en una institución de educación superior. La pregunta que se plantea en este estudio es ¿qué elementos pueden contribuir para dar visibilidad a la producción científica de profesores y estudiantes a través de un Repositorio Institucional)? Los resultados apuntan a que para aumentar el uso del Repositorio Institucional se requiere de una campaña de difusión que informe del para qué sirve y una capacitación dirigida a los investigadores y doctorandos, que fomente e incentive el uso de prácticas científicas a favor de la difusión en acceso abierto.

    Usability evaluation focused on user experience of repositories related to energy sustainability: A Literature Mapping

    This paper presents a systematic literature mapping about two types of studies about interaction using repositories energy sustainability, (1)studies related to users' experience, and (2) studies aboutusability evaluation, to add 78 studies in this field of knowledge, inorder to answer the following research questions: How manystudies have been done to evaluate the usability of a Repository?How many studies have been done to use the approach the userexperience on repositories? and What are the dimensions and tools used for evaluate usability?Ultimately, the collected information will be used to document thestate of a PhD thesis that aims to create a prototype for the usability evaluation of OAR that will lend visibility to the results of a project entitled "A Binational Laboratory for the Intelligent Managementof Energy Sustainability and Technological Formation."

    Analyzing navigation logs in MOOC: a case study

    Continued use of various technological devices has massively increased the generation of digital data, which are recorded as an opportunity for research. In the educational case, it is common to analyze data generated in Learning Management Systems which allows better understand the learning process of the participants and make informed decisions for better e-learning processes and situations in which develop. This paper analyzes participants’ navigation logs in a MOOC hosted on the Coursera platform, for which a visual e-learning analytics process was performed. The results confirm that the videos of experts are an essential educational resource for learning in a MOOC, similarly, the discussion forums are an important resource which are recurrent social spaces in different navigation paths complementing other activities.

    Open access to educational resources in energy and sustainability: Usability evaluation prototype for repositories

    The purpose of this paper is to show a PhD dissertation research plan, which aims to assess whether the users’ experience of users to perform various tasks in an open access repository, increases by integrating Discovery Tools. The tasks to perform by the users are management and information design, dissemination and searches of open educational resources (OER) of sustainability energy. This research aims to develop a usability evaluation prototype which will offer new insights in the design of the information architecture. In the first stage, the criteria will be selected to measure the level of usability of the tasks to evaluate and develop the analysis of the current interactive design of the web repository. In the second stage, will consist of measure, once implemented the Discovery Tools in the web repository and check the usability level increase in relation with the criteria. In this paper you could find aspects as the motivations and the context in which it will develop this research, state of the art, hypothesis, research objectives, aspects of the methodology of the research, developed under the method of mixed layout, the current an expected contribution, the results and the validation and dissertation status. The results will contribute for detect new criteria and parameters for provide flexible interfaces, specifically for the web repositories, which are a part of the technological ecosystem of the scientific activity.

    Systematic mapping of the literature: social innovation laboratories for the collaborative construction of knowledge from the perspective of open innovation

    The objective of this work is to determine the state of the art of social innovation laboratories for the collaborative construction of knowledge from the perspective of open innovation. It employs the methodology of the systematic mapping of the literature using the Science Direct, Springer Open and Google Scholar academic databases. The most significant findings include a tendency for social innovation laboratories using different technologies to socialize knowledge and the use of collaboration tools for the collaborative construction of knowledge. Is has been found that the creation of citizen networks (open social networks, researcher networks or contributor networks) and interdisciplinary work groups is common. Experts in laboratories suggest participating in listening mode since they take into account the experience of those affected and non-experts. Therefore, social innovation labs are spaces that are open to proposals for designing a work plan involving a range of actors to prototype

    Open innovation laboratories for social modeling sustainable society sensitive to social needs

    This research is framed in the field of laboratories citizens, especially those who are driven by private institutions of higher education. The variables are going to study the interaction of participants of laboratories, the use of technology and how to participate in a working group when different disciplines are integrated. The main objective is to analyze how the collaborative knowledge construction is achieved when you have a common problem or social impact. Since the mixed paradigm is to enrich the information to be retrieved and analyzed to answer the research question. The instruments are designed questionnaires, in-depth interviews, non-participant observation and analysis of the productions of the participants. This project seeks to find information to know in depth the mechanisms of collaborative knowledge construction. Such construction will be used as input for participants to be active in the ways of responding to societal challenges.

    Discovery Tools for Open Access Repositories: Literature Mapping

    The objective in this paper is to summarize the current knowledge that is available for Discovery Tools that have been employed for library services and open access repositories (OAR); This mapping is intended for studies which have addressed the concept and application of these, identify studies that have applied the Discovery tool to the context of the OAR and whether its implementation has benefited to the scientific visibility. The results of this study will measure the implications that we will have to consider to implement a Discovery Tool in a repository that will provide visibility to the results of the project "Binational Laboratory for the Intelligent Management of the Energy Sustainability and the Technological Formation" and to generate a prototype to evaluate and to measure the experience of the involved users for users looking for information on open access technological platforms with discovery tools.
