However, under different channel models, the PDS change. This work presents an analysis of the effect on the PDS when smart antennas are deployed at the base station. The statistical Gaussian scatter density model was the channel model used in the investigation. Two kinds of smart antennas were employed, linear and circular arrays. Omnidirectional and sectorized antennas were also included as a reference.
