Fantastic ekphrasis in two stories by Álvaro Uribe

| dc.description | Wide is the world of art, wide its interrelationships. One of them arises when we find plastic objects (paintings, sculptures, drawings, engravings) referred to or described in a literary text. This rhetorical-discursive procedure is called ekphrasis and in this paper we will analyze the case of the Mexican writer Álvaro Uribe, who in two of his stories, "Filósofo meditando" and "El séptimo arcano", recovers this procedure as part of the aesthetic framework by inserting ekphrastic from Rembrandt's painting, "Philosopher Meditating". This ekphrasis will be the axis of several discursive strategies that collaborate in the aesthetic plot of the stories: intratextuality and intertextuality, which favor the irruption of the fantastic by thematizing the rupture of limits between fiction/reality and whose final interpretation leads us to the reason for the double. | en-US |
| dc.description | Amplio es el mundo del arte, amplias sus interrelaciones. Una de ellas surge cuando encontramos objetos plásticos (pinturas, esculturas, dibujos, grabados) referidos o descritos en un texto literario. Este procedimiento retórico-discursivo se denomina ecfrasis y en este trabajo analizaremos el caso del escritor mexicano Álvaro Uribe quien en dos de sus cuentos, “Filósofo meditando” y “El séptimo arcano”, recupera este procedimiento como parte del entramado estético mediante la inserción ecfrástica del cuadro de Rembrandt, “Filósofo meditando”. Dicha ecfrasis será el eje de varias estrategias discursivas que colaboran en la trama estética de los cuentos: la intratextualidad e intertextualidad, las cuales favorecen la irrupción de lo fantástico mediante la tematización de la ruptura de límites entre ficción/realidad y cuya interpretación final nos lleva al motivo del doble. | es-ES |
